Of course, not all students have exactly the same experience. But as you will see, different degree programs have different costs, different scholarship and grant opportunities, and take different lengths of time to complete, depending on the type of program it is and the type of university or college offering it. Using this website you can also find wage information and see calculated ‘loan repayment’ and ‘total degree investment’ estimates for graduates of the listed degree program.

The tool has been built to enable and facilitate sharing information. Search Results can be exported using the buttons located above the table, including ‘Copy,’ ‘Excel,’ ‘CSV,’ ‘PDF,’ and ‘Print’. Each DegreeStats page has a unique URL address, so it can be copied and shared.

STEP 1: Search
There are three ways to begin your search:
Choose an institution – by selecting any one of the 33 public universities or colleges in Kansas from the list provided, you will narrow your search results to the degree programs offered only at that institution. Narrow your search further by selecting a degree title from the ‘Choosing a degree title’ field or by adding a Keyword search before clicking ‘Submit Search.’ Otherwise review the Search Results provided. Adjust the number of entries displayed by selecting 10, 25, 50, or All.
Choose a degree title – by selecting any of titles listed, you can narrow your search results to similar degree programs, and your search results will include anywhere a degree program with that title is offered across all public universities and colleges in Kansas. You can combine this search field with other fields to further narrow your search. Otherwise review the Search Results provided. Adjust the number of entries displayed by selecting 10, 25, 50, or All.
Keyword search – by typing in a keyword describing the area you want to study, a list of related degree programs will appear as your search results. You can combine this search field with any other fields to further narrow your search. Otherwise review the Search Results provided. Adjust the number of entries displayed by selecting 10, 25, 50, or All.
STEP 2: Review your Search Results

You can further refine your search results using the search boxes located under the column name in the Search Results table. You can also change the order of your displayed results by clicking the “up” or “down” sorting arrows to the right of each column name. For example, click on the “up” arrow next to “Institutions” to group all the degrees offered by a given institution together, in alphabetical order A - Z. Click on the “up” arrow next to “Required Hours” to group all the degrees by number of required hours, smallest to largest.
You can download and share any of your Search Results using the buttons located above the table.
ACTION: Click on the Degree Title you want to know more about to review the Kansas DegreeStats for that program, or select up to 3 degree programs you’d like to compare and click ‘Compare Degree Programs’ at the bottom of the page.
STEP 3: DegreeStats Comparison Results
If you choose to compare up to 3 degree programs and click ‘Compare Degree Programs,’ you will be directed to a DegreeStats Comparison Results page. Here the same data are provided as on the individual DegreeStats page, but in a side-by-side comparative format.
Once you’re done comparing, click on the Degree Title column header to review the Kansas DegreeStats for that program.
STEP 4: Review DegreeStats
There are more than 1,100 undergraduate degree programs which have DegreeStats presented here for your review, each including the typical cost, investment, wage, and repayment data for graduates from the degree program listed at the top of the page.
If a “^” symbol appears in place of data, this means there wasn’t enough data to publish a number without jeopardizing the privacy of those enrolled in the program.
If a “-“ symbol appears in place of data, this means there wasn’t data collected and/or submitted by the university or college for that data point.
A user can adjust a number of data points in this interactive tool, in order to adjust the total loan debt and total degree investment repayment information provided. When calculating "Total Degree Investment" the terms of repayment are expanded to include Loans plus a student’s Personal Investment and any Other Funding Sources added, and adjusts the reported Estimated Monthly Repayment to include these additional funding sources.
When modifications are made by the user to the data presented on this page an alert appears; a user can click “Reset” (in the upper left corner) to return to original values.
